Broadband Program Design for Ontario

Client: Ministry of Government Services, Government of Ontario, Canada

Project: Provided advice and analysis that shaped strategy and design of provincial program that addressed broadband access in un-served areas. SNG also proposed a model for overcoming gaps in
service access, including costing and funding. SNG’s technical advice was leveraged for implementation planning while its broadband network expertise provided strategic guidance in the application of readiness criteria to the design of a phased approach to infrastructure implementation.

Conducted: November 2006 – March 2007

Results: Provided a how-to guide with tools and templates to help communities and regions to successfully launch and complete broadband projects.
